Rob and Megan are talking about angst in architecture: what is it, and where does it come from, they wonder together.

ROB:

There’s a broad, general, underlying angst, and I think you get a day-to-day angst which is more like you’ve got a big list of things, you’ve got a lot of different projects to move forward, at different stages, and sometimes there’s a design problem that you can’t quite figure out how to do it. You sit there, but you just can’t quite see it. I think in the past a lot of that angst has come from me not being confident, and so not knowing when to just go and ask someone, or when to pick up the phone or call a friend. Do you know what I mean? It’s that feeling of “I don’t quite know how to resolve this.”...
